The App collects your product's pricing history data and compares it to the Compare at price to ensure compliance with the EU Omnibus Directive. This data is saved in your Shopify products' meta fields and can be displayed on your storefront. The App uses your data to identify non-compliant products and display them in one view to enable easy correction. Your data is kept secure, and we do not share it with third parties without your consent.
The Pricing Directive requires sellers to indicate the lowest price of a product in the 30 days prior to starting a campaign. To comply, we look back 30 days from the start of a sale and choose the lowest price during that period.
When a product is on sale, its compare at price is higher than its selling price. For example, if a product was previously priced at 100€ and is now on sale for €20, the lowest price during the sale will be set at the original compared at a price of €40. If a new campaign is started within 30 days after the sale ends, the compare at price cannot be higher than the lowest price of €20 during the sale.
After analysing your entire product catalogue, the pricing details are saved to the meta fields. These meta fields are updated on a daily basis.
